Rules

1. The idea

BidYourDay allows people to claim a specific calendar day and make it their own.

Each day represents a unique place on the BidYourDay calendar. Once purchased, the day becomes associated with the person who currently holds it and with the story they choose to tell.

The purpose of BidYourDay is simple: own a day, tell your story, leave your mark.

2. Choosing a day

Users can browse the available calendar and select a day they consider meaningful.

A day may receive multiple purchases or bids while bidding remains open.

The meaning of the chosen day is entirely personal. It may represent a birthday, anniversary, achievement, memory, important event, personal milestone or simply a date that has a special meaning to the purchaser.

3. How a purchase works

The initial purchase price of a day is determined by the current BidYourDay system.

Once a day receives purchases or bids, the amount required to make the next valid purchase may increase according to the applicable increment displayed on the platform.

Each valid purchase places the purchaser in the current position for that day.

The purchase is recorded in the user's account and the day appears in the user's personal history.

A purchase does not permanently reserve or guarantee the day to the purchaser.

4. How ownership changes

A day can have multiple holders during its bidding period.

When a user makes a valid purchase at the applicable amount, they become the current holder of that day.

If another user subsequently makes a valid higher purchase, the previous holder loses their current position and the new purchaser becomes the current holder.

5. Closing a day

BidYourDay may establish a maximum number of purchases or bids for individual days.

When the applicable limit is reached, bidding for that day closes permanently and no further purchases or bids will be accepted.

The user who holds the final valid position when bidding closes becomes the final holder of the day.

6. The final holder and personal showcase

When the bidding period for a day closes, the user holding the final valid position becomes the final holder of that day.

The final holder may receive a dedicated personal showcase within BidYourDay.

The showcase is intended to give the final holder a dedicated space connected to their day and may include information such as:

• the holder's name;
• a profile or personal photograph;
• the story behind the day;
• links to social profiles;
• other information or content made available by BidYourDay for the showcase.

The exact structure and features of the showcase may be updated or expanded over time as the BidYourDay project develops.

7. Content published by users

Users are responsible for all text, images, links and other material they submit to BidYourDay.

Users must not submit content that:

• is illegal or unlawful;
• infringes copyright, trademarks or other intellectual property rights;
• contains malicious code or harmful material;
• is intentionally deceptive or fraudulent;
• contains threats, harassment or abusive material;
• is excessively offensive, discriminatory or hateful;
• violates the privacy or personal rights of another person.

8. Right to moderate content

BidYourDay reserves the right to review, remove or modify content that violates these rules or applicable law.

In serious cases, BidYourDay may restrict or terminate an account where necessary to protect the service, its users or third parties.

9. Account ownership

Each user is responsible for keeping their account credentials confidential and for all activity carried out through their account.

Users must provide accurate information and keep their account information reasonably up to date.

10. Account deletion

Users may delete their BidYourDay account through the private area, subject to the conditions applicable to their purchases and current position.

Deleting an account does not automatically create a right to a refund or repayment of amounts previously paid.

If a user deletes their account while holding the current position of a day for which bidding is still open, that position may no longer be associated with the deleted account.

If a user is the final holder of a day whose bidding has already closed, the consequences of account deletion for that day will depend on the applicable Terms and the functionality available on the platform.

11. Purchases and payments

A purchase is considered completed once the payment process has been successfully completed and the transaction has been recorded by BidYourDay.

Users must provide accurate payment information and use a payment method they are legally authorised to use.

12. No transfer or resale

A current position in a day may not be transferred, resold or assigned to another person unless BidYourDay expressly provides a mechanism allowing such transfer.

The right associated with a current position exists only within the BidYourDay bidding system and may be lost if another user makes a valid higher purchase.

The final holder of a closed day may not transfer or resell the day unless BidYourDay expressly introduces a mechanism allowing such transfer.

Any future transfer system, if introduced, will be governed by separate rules.

13. Changes to the service

BidYourDay is an evolving digital project.

Features, presentation, technical functions and additional services may therefore be introduced, modified or discontinued over time.

Any material changes affecting users or purchases will be communicated through the appropriate pages or notices on the website.

14. Acceptance of the rules

By creating an account or purchasing a day, the user confirms that they have read and accepted these rules together with the applicable Terms and Conditions.
